Timmy is Resilient is a story about a young boy who is frightened by a loud noise, but with the help of his friends, learns how to bounce back from being afraid and become resilient. In this digital version, you will experience Timmy's journey through beautiful expressive illustrations, drawn by a 10-year-old artist. Included are five interactive sections, starting with an area for children to list positive thoughts about who and what makes them feel safe and happy.
Next on a journal page, they can write a story about hard times and triumphs. There is also an interactive puzzle to build a “tower of protective factors,” and a page to help children express their feelings through drawing and coloring pictures.
Available exclusively from the Community Resilience Initiative™, this digital version of our card deck includes child-focused Resilience Building Blocks to help build resilience into our children's lives in a digital format. The deck comes with a handbook that explains the ACEs and Resilience information and provides suggested activities, as well as a Tip Sheet to help you add the link to the home screen of your mobile device. Our Super Heroes digital experience introduces ten very special children, facing challenging life experiences such as homelessness and bullying. Beautiful child-friendly graphics show how we can learn to manage our responses to stress by building a toolkit of strategies. This is an interactive online experience, encouraging use of the 42 resilience strategies from the child-focused deck of cards, from a child’s perspective.
